Lyre Suspension Webs
The enhanced "Lyre" suspensions webs replace the original hoops, O-rings and custom-size clips. The isolating properties of the Lyres are exceptional as they reduce low frequency handling noise to the point where another octave or more of bass response can be made use of. This is the most flexible and efficient suspension system that Rycote has ever produced.
- All suspensions are supplied with “universal” lyres webs fitted, accommodating tubular microphones from 19 to 25 mm.
- Included with every Modular Suspension & Modular Windshield kit will also be a pair of 25 mm square-sided lyres that are suitable for the slab-side Sennheiser MKH range of microphones. 30 mm lyres are also available on request.
- We first introduced the Lyre suspensions in 2007 with our S-Series and subsequently launched our InVision range of shockmounts principally for stand or static studio boom use. The response has been overwhelmingly positive and so it made sense to use this unique and patented design to enhance our most popular products.

- The standard small to medium suspensions use "Black" lyre webs. For large Modualr suspensions & Windshield Kits 7 & 8, stiffer "Grey" lyres are used to provide better support for the heavier & longer microphones.
