From September 2008, Modular Windshield Kits 1- 6 will be supplied with "Lyre" Suspension webs & Connbox CB 1 as standard. The lyres fitted to the Modular Windshield Kits 1- 6 will be black Universal (19-25mm) webs, but also included are MKH lyres, suitable for Sennheiser MKH slab-sided microphones.

Modular Windshield Kits 7 & 8 willbe fitted with Grey Universal lyre suspension webs - the Grey material is stiffer than the standard black and therefore allows better support for longer microphones. The Modular Windshield Kits 7 & 8 are supplied with a 450mm (18") 3-pin XLR/XLR cable.

The lyre suspension webs are completely backward compatible with previous designs of Modular Suspensions. For more information on Upgrade kits available please click here

Sennhesier MKH 8000 series - Windshield 10 Kit (Feb 2008)

The Windshield 10 will be suitable for the new Sennheiser MKH 8000 range when used with MZX 8000 XLR connector. The Windshield 10 has a body length of 120 mm. Please note that the suspension hoops in the kit are configured in position A3/A4 and A7/A8 on the bar and the snap rivets on both hoops face the front of the suspension, which is slightly different from the standard Small Modular Suspension configuration.

The Kit comes packaged in a plain white box (no sleeve) that is 24 x 23 x 13 cm and weighs approximately 0.75 kg. The suspension is fitted with the boom adaptor with the pistol grip separate in the box. Also included in the kit is the usual selection of clips, hex head key and spares bag.
