Boom Pole Configuration

The CCA can be used either as a conventional Boom Adaptor fitted on the end of a boom or fish pole or on a camcorder mic clamp. The CCA has a brass 3/8" Whitworth thread insert for the fitting to the pole. The design of the CCA also allows for the XLR connector to be anchored using the supplied Velcro grip.

Camcorder Configuration

The Softie CCA allows you to attach your shotgun microphone to camcorders fitted with a microphone clamp (25-27mm diameter). The Softie mount provides isolation against lens motor noise and general handling noise.

Suitable for: Sony HDR-Z1E, Canon XL1 & XL2 and many more.

Note: The CCA replaced the Softie mount & Boom adaptor January 2006.
